Welcome to Parama's 2026 Scholarship Application Process!

This application process opened December 1, 2025. Applications will only be accepted via this website form.
The deadline for completed applications is January 30, 2026 – including reference letters, transcript and essay. Applications received after this date will not be considered, under any circumstances.
Scholarship winners will be notified in late February 2026 and awards will be handed out at Parama's Annual General Meeting, March 3, 2026 at 6:00 PM. We ask all scholarship winners to attend Parama's AGM. If a scholarship winner is unable to attend, we will get in touch to make alternate arrangements.

Ensure you have the following files ready for submission prior to starting this application process.

Two (2) reference letters.
One (1) transcript.
One (1) headshot photo.
One (1) scholarship essay.

To be eligible, you must answer yes to all five (5) questions.

1. Are you currently attending a post-secondary institution (undergraduate, graduate or equivalent) in Canada? *

2. Are you a Canadian Citizen or landed immigrant? *

3. Are you a Member* of Parama Credit Union and have been for more than 12 months? *

*Member must be first named on a joint account. Trust accounts do not qualify.

4. Are you currently younger than 25? *

5. Have you completed your prior year of study with a minimum average of 75% or GPA equivalent? *

Reference Letters.

A. Attach one (1) reference letter from your educational institution or a community organization.

B. Attach one (1) reference letter at your discretion (teacher, tutor, community organization or neighbour) however may not be a family member.

Scholarship Essay.

Parama will evaluate each applicant based on the following four (4) areas over the last 24 months:

Leadership Experience
Community Involvement

E. Attach one (1) Scholarship Essay between 500-1000 words.

Maximum file size is 10MB.

Should I be awarded a scholarship, I give my consent to Parama Credit Union to publicize my full name and my picture in Parama's annual report, website, media announcements (including social media and newsletters), and during Parama's Annual General Meeting, etc.
